Facebook Mixes It Up Again!
Facebook’s new changes have left many users upset and confused. The cartoon correctly describes how so many people deal with change (and not just technology changes). But, when it comes to Facebook, it’s something we’ve been through before and will indefinitely happen again. If you’ve been living under a rock the past week, here are some of the new changes (some that have launched and some that will be launching soon): You’re going to get a Timeline — a scrapbook of your life: This is a stream of information about you — the [...]
Tweeting, Checking In, and Texting to Win
While I’m not a huge proponent of foursquare on the level of personal use (I can’t honestly say I think people care about me filling up my gas, or going to the grocery store, or flying to Topeka, Kansas), I am intrigued by the idea that you can check in at an event via your phone. Foursqare’s application in this sense allows users to check-in upon arrival and sometimes digitally receive cool stuff- like free drinks at a bar or a free appetizer.I’m not sold quite yet on this fad [...]

Pucker Up | Your Customers Want A KISS!
A lot has been said and discussed about the change of consumer behavior and expectations, especially since the change in the way we get our information. I’ve read several blog posts this week about the acronym KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) and it’s no surprise consumers want their messages delivered instant and to the point. Blame it on SMS, Twitter, or the excessive amount of information we are exposed to daily, but today’s consumer wants a clear concise message. I’m obviously not the first person to use this acronym, but here are [...]
Past Vs. Future of PR
Remember way back to December 2009, I know that was so long ago. Kourtney Kardashian gave birth to her first child, the Tiger Woods Scandal unraveled, Lindsey Lohen entered rehab again, oh and Google announced that social media overtook public relations in Google’s Zeitgeist. Whether or not you believe Google comes down to how you define public relations. In my opinion, I believe that PR has several meanings and encompasses a variety of things, but it all can be summed up as the communication between different channels. With that definition [...]
